Before booking, your proposal will list the confirmed transport, guide, hotel or cruise arrangements, admissions, meals, inclusions and exclusions. No hotel, flight time, cruise sailing or price is fixed by this sample itinerary.
The details that change a day
Plan it properly.
Pickup, drop-off and transportation
Private transfers start from your agreed Aswan hotel. Philae requires a separate motorboat crossing; confirm it in the quote. Abu Simbel is a dedicated long-distance excursion. A felucca sail is not a substitute for a motorboat transfer. Pickup time, meeting point and return location are confirmed in writing.
Your guide and your group
The touring party is your own group. Archaeological visits are planned with a private Egyptologist; nature and desert segments may use specialist local guides and drivers. Specify your preferred language and any specialist interests when asking for a proposal.
Entrance tickets and optional access
This is a custom-quote route. Ask for a line-by-line admission list, including any motorboat, protected-area or optional interior charges. No unlisted ticket is implied by the itinerary. A general site ticket should not be assumed to include every interior. Openings and visitor rules are checked for your dates.
Included in the proposed touring arrangement
Route planning, private guided touring and the agreed transfers are the basis of the proposal. The final written quote confirms guide hours, vehicle, admissions, meals and any overnight arrangements before you book.
Not included unless specifically quoted
International and domestic flights, hotels, cruise cabins, personal expenses, gratuities, meals and optional activities are not automatically included. Desert camping equipment and meals must be itemized for an overnight; do not infer them from a tour title.
Walking and accessibility
Expect exposed stone surfaces, steps and boat boarding. Describe whether you can step between a quay and a boat and whether you need assistance. We do not describe a river visit as step-free without checking the actual arrangements. Tell us about a wheelchair, walking aid or step limit so we can check specific sites and vehicles rather than promise universal access.
What to wear and bring
Wear comfortable shoes with grip and lightweight clothing suited to the forecast. Bring sun protection, drinking water, a charged phone and a small day bag. Religious-site visits call for modest clothing and may require removing shoes. For an overnight desert route, confirm layers, bedding and personal essentials with the camp team.
Timing and season
Start exposed visits before the hottest part of the day where possible. River outings depend on local conditions; a wind-powered felucca does not have the certainty of a fixed road timetable.
Children and families
Build in shade, water and shorter site visits. Ask about suitable life jackets for children before a boat outing. Keep an Abu Simbel day separate from another long excursion.
